Dear Everyone Who Reads this Blog with Some Consistency,
I offer my sincere apologies for not posting in a very long time. Now and again, life can pick us up by the scruff of the neck and gently carry us places away from the things we usually do. And so with me: November was a month of academic obligations and holiday planning. December was a month of extensive travel with family and friends all over India. And now, the beginning of January has been a time of hasty preparation for the new term at school.
This is why I haven’t been able to write anything new for the blog, or answer queries concerning my sensitivity to trees and their needs, comments on the appropriate use of gender-oriented pronouns, or the strident political ambitions that obviously drive this blog. Yes, it’s true. In twenty years time, pundits will look back over my meteoric rise to Bridgewater Power-Broker and identify the vast influence (indeed menace) created by this blog. You’ve caught me. I admit the plot, every last sordid detail.
I guess that I’ve been collecting new material for the blog over these last few months. Had I world enough and time, I might be able to blog on everything. We didn’t hike anywhere, but we did loll about in the Goa beach culture, which I suppose is worth a blog.
Our five overnight bus trips is most certainly worth a blog. Indian road travel is a phenomenon that I don’t think the world has ever seen. How we survived to tell the tale is a miracle. So I’ll write about miracles.
I will include photos, if I can. My blog host is fine and all, but incapable of loading images with any consistency. It takes a long time to load each one, and then the system seems to lose them on a regular basis, refusing to post them. The help department seems on permanent vacation as I have yet to receive a response to the ten or so queries I’ve made over the last five months. Guess I don’t pay them enough. Grumble grumble.
You write:
"You’ve caught me. I admit the plot, every last sordid detail."
I want more details and I would like an estimate on the amount of bail once you are arrested. I would like to start saving up.

If you call your blog's help desk from India, do you get a technician in Omaha?
