I should explain something that has puzzled some readers of this blog.
They've asked "where's your wife and kids?" They were hoping for more of a family story about what we all did in India. Instead they get insane tales of climbing up to waterfalls and island lumberyards with no cute kids in sight.
I've kept our family adventures largely off the blog for many reasons. The main one is that this blog is fully open. Anyone--friend, acquaintance or total stranger--can read these stories (and I encourage every last one of them). I just think it's unfair to share too much family life with such a wide audience. I'd rather that my daughter didn't have to ask "You told a perfect stranger WHAT?" or "You broadcast THAT over the internet?"
House guests are not so lucky. We have hundreds of hours of video and millions of photos that we freely share with guests, often until they fall asleep on the couch or leave the room muttering. You've been warned.
